Torrey Pines - Now offered by Golf Zoo
Golf Zoo now is now proud to offer golf packages at one of the premier 36 hole facilities in all the US at Torrey Pines, San Diego. The South Course is the venue for the 2008 US Open Championship. The North Course I feel is the more scenic of the two, but the South, like the North, is set high above the cliffs over Torrey Pines State Beach and the scenery is simply spectacular. South is tough at the best of times, the North is no slouch but does play easier. When planning your golf vacation package to San Diego, this is a must. As you might expect, it is expensive for non San Diego city residents, but promises to be a memorable experience.

But It's A Dry Heat...
Summer is the best time to golf in Scottsdale. The temps are hot, but the deals are hotter. Here's a few one liners to help you get through it:
It's so hot in Arizona that......the birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground....the potatoes cook underground, and all you have to do to have lunch is to pull one out and add butter, salt and pepper....farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard-boiled eggs.
...the cows are giving evaporated milk....the trees are whistling for the dogs....you no longer associate bridges (or rivers) with water....you can say 113 degrees without fainting....you eat hot chilies to cool your mouth off....you can make instant sun tea....you learn that a seat belt makes a pretty good branding iron....the temperature drops below 95, you feel a bit chilly....you've experienced condensation on your butt from the hot water in the toilet bowl....you would give anything to be able to splash cold water on your face....you can attend any function wearing shorts and a tank top....the 4 seasons are: tolerable, hot, really hot, and ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!...you discover that in July, it takes only 2 fingers to drive your car....you discover that you can get a sunburn through your car window....you notice the best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance....hot water now comes out of both taps....it's noon in July, kids are on summer vacation, and not one person is out on the streets....you actually burn your hand opening the car door....you break a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 a.m....before work....no one would dream of putting vinyl upholstery in a car or not having air conditioning....your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death?"...you realize that asphalt has a liquid state.

Taylor Made Performance Lab is Best I've Seen
I've just been to the Taylor Made Performance Lab at Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad, California and what an amazing experience. If you're thinking of buying a new set of irons or the whole set and you don't invest in this great experience first you're missing out and not getting what you need or want in a new set of clubs.Tom Fuller was fantastic, knowledgeable, courteous, professional and a very good player himself. Next time you're planning a golf package vacation to San Diego area, make a point of getting there, it's reasonably priced and offers invaluable insights to your swing, posture, strengths and weaknesses. At the end of your session your club specs are emailed to Taylor Made and your clubs are shipped to your address.

Cathedral Canyon Country Club- Great Value
On my recent visit to Cathedral Canyon Country Club I came away very pleased to be able to offer the facility to our Golf Zoo clientele as part of their Palm Springs golf package. Offering 27 holes, I have to say my favorite 9 was the Arroyo, the latest addition. It's as if you're on a links nine. The other two nines, Mountain and Lake are also very enjoyable and offer a good, fair challenge. This is one of our best golf values in a Palm Springs golf package with great pricing, a friendly, down home atmosphere and a comfy restaurant and bar facility to enjoy after your round. The surrounding mountain views are spectacular and the 27 holes of golf can be enjoyed by any handicap golfer without breaking the bank.
