As anyone who has traveled with us know, our clients receive a survey from us via email shortly after their trip with us asking how was the golf vacation, from booking the trip to the trip itself. Golf Zoo Welcomes Todd Massie!

Golf Zoo is very pleased to announce the addition of Todd Massie to the Phoenix / Scottsdale Team. Todd joined Golf Zoo as the Golf Group Sales Manager for the Phoenix / Scottsdale market on October 1st. He will also be training over the next year in the other Southwest markets (Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Mesquite, and Tucson) in order for him to offer those destinations as well.

Golf Zoo has enjoyed a relationship with Todd for the past 5 years at lodging partner Resort Suites, and jumped at the chance to have him as part of the Golf Zoo team for their Phoenix / Scottsdale market. Golf Idol

If you're one of the 29.5 Bazillion viewers of American Idol weekly or The Grammy's annually or hundreds of other TV shows, musicals or concerts, this fine lookin' group below are the ones responsible for the sound/audio you hear on those productions.
Paul Sandweiss, 2nd from left in the rear and his group has been booking their golf trip with me to Palm Springs for a couple of years now and they're great guys to deal with. They haven't actually faxed signed, eraser smudgefree scorecards to me as of yet, despite my requests, but they have dropped thank you notes and have had always had a great time staying for a few days and enjoying the golf and sun in Palm Springs. So next time you watch American Idol, say thanks guys and good golfing!

President Ed Holofcener ACES 6th hole

Golf Zoo President Ed Holofcener really, really, really likes hole #6 at SunRidge Canyon.

During his recent golf vacation to Scottsdale, the golf gods smiled on him for a brief second, and he jarred it on the 179 yard hole with a five iron.

"I knew I had hit a solid shot.... it went right toward the flag, bounced once and rolled about 10 feet, then disappeared. I couldn't believe it."

Ed was even more lucky, in that his three golf buddies from Baltimore, Jeff Wexler, Julius Hyatt, and Keith Silverstein were right there to witness, and enjoy a few free drinks on the jubilant 10 handicapper.

Ed's Golf Vacation Planner, Golf Zoo's V.P. Chris Parcell commented, "Hey - even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then, but I don't remember getting a free drink at the bar..."

This was Ed's first, but hopefully not last hole in one.

Mapping out that Perfect Golf Vacation...

Planning your golf vacation just got easier with Golf Zoo's All-New Interactive Area Maps! If you haven't already seen them, have a look at this post for an example, what you can do with the maps and images.
In this example, I will use the destination 'Arizona' as the example. There are two (2) ways you can get to each destination's interactive area map:
The First, is simply from our main destination map page that lists all of our destinations. In the image below - the interactive map graphic/button is highlighted.

The Second option is avialable when you land on the Overview page of a destination - click on the Interactive Area Map button near the top of the section - as noted in the image below.


Once on the Map page - you have options on how you can view the map (see the below graphics). I suggest you select the "Satellite" or "Hybrid" views for a real bird's eye view of some of the golf courses and lodging properties. You can also get directions from from one point to another (the directions will open up on a new page). With name, address, pictures and address information available on every "bubble" it makes it easy to find out where you want to stay relative to the golf courses you want to play - or what golf courses you may want play given the proximity to your lodging property. Simply select a property on the right side listing of options and the map will point out where it is on the map.

Just want to see what's around a particular property? Thats fine too- you can also just click the points on the map to get the same information. All of the green number points on the map are Golf Courses and all of the blue lettered points on the map are Lodging properties.

Clicking on the picture or name of the property in the 'bubble' will take you to that page in our site for more pictures and description as well. You can zoom in, click and drag the map to view anything on the map that you wish (see the below two examples). Have fun!

Golf Zoo Welcomes Craig Gordon!

Golf Zoo is pleased to announce the addition of Craig Gordon to the Golf Zoo Team.

Craig, a PGA apprentice, and formerly Assistant Golf Professional at the TPC Myrtle Beach, begins his career with Golf Zoo as a Golf Vacation Specialist on November 9th in our Myrtle Beach office. Craig's initial area of responsibility will be the Myrtle Beach area, but will soon be offering Hilton Head, SC, all our destinations in North Carolina, as well as other destinations on the Mid-Atlantic Coast as his product knowledge and industry experience grows.

Craig brings a wealth of knowledge and know how in the Myrtle Beach market, especially Southern Myrtle Beach where he resides. He will team up with our current "Myrtle Beach Golf Guru" Linda Wareham, who will be instrumental in his product knowledge, and industry know how, especially on the North end of the strand where she resides.

In short, if you're going to Myrtle Beach, we've "gotcha covered", both on the Northern and Southern ends!
