Weekend Trip to Bluffton, South Carolina

This past weekend I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Bluffton SC and really enjoyed my time there. Bluffton is a part of the Hilton Head Island golf destination but is just off the main island itself (15 minutes). The hotel is in a great location with several bars, restaurants, and shops located within walking distance and then there are golf courses all around to choose from. This time around I played Crescent Pointe, and Old South with the longest drive being 5 minutes to Old South. Both tracks were in great shape and I absolutely love seeing the huge live oak trees lining the fairways and peaks of the inlets and marshes. It really adds to the character of the courses and gives them that true low country feel which I find so beautiful. Crescent Pointe was definitely the more challenging of the two as it had, length, fairly narrow landing areas and very undulated greens. Old South is still a very good test of golf but the greens were far less sloped although much smaller.

I would strongly suggest considering the Hilton Head area for your next golf getaway and feel free to give me a call to get more information on the area or for a free trip quote. Craig Gordon-888.333.6079
